Two empty units in Torquay's Union Street have been re-let after several years of being empty.

Bringing some additional and much-needed confidence into the high street is a professional massage business on the first floor and a mobile phone accessories business on the ground floor.

David Rowe, who ran the Gordon Rowe Jewellers together with his late wife Regina for some 40 years until they closed but amalgamated with Conroy Couch Jewellers opposite, welcomed Thanya Jaita of Lannathai Massage and Zia Rehman of Mobil Pro to the town centre.

Mr Rowe said: "Sincere thanks go to George Helmore from Bettesworths for pulling the deal together."
