Torbay Council has revealed changes to refuse and recycling collections over the forthcoming festive period.
During the week between Christmas and New Year, between Boxing Day (Monday, December 26) and Friday, December 30, all collections will be one day late.
New year collections are not affected, with normal collection days from Monday, January 2, onwards.
If you have a very large amount of cardboard or other packaging though, you might want to take this to the recycling centre but you will need to book first, said a council spokesperson.
Recycling centre opening times
The recycling centre is open every day throughout the Christmas and New Year period except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. If you are planning to go to the recycling centre, you need to book a slot first.
Christmas tree recycling
If you have a real Christmas tree, you will be able to take it to the recycling centre.
There will also be drop-off points for Christmas trees from 9.30am to 12.30pm at Torquay Town Hall car park and Brixham College in Ranscombe Road, Brixham on Saturdays, January 7 and 14.
Garden waste collections
Garden waste collections are paused from December 19 to January 16. If you do have a garden waste subscription, you can put your real Christmas tree in your brown bin for collection.
