The Paignton Branch of the Royal British Legion has confirmed its Remembrance events.

For Armistice Day on November 11 there will be a short service at the Paignton War Memorial with two minutes silence at 11am.

For Remembrance Sunday on November 13 there will be a service at the Paignton Parish Church at 10.15am with the congregation asked to be seated by 10am.

Any youth group wishing to take part should contact Father Neil Knox (Paignton Parish) or the RBL chairman by email at  paignton.chairman@rbl.community, or leave a message on the office phone 01803 555838.

An afternoon service and wreath laying will take place in the same day in Palace Ave Gardens and the War Memorial at 3pm. Anybody wishing to lay a wreath should contact the branch Chairman.

Road closure and parking restrictions will be in place.

Poppy and Remembrance items can be had in advance or ordered by contacting the Poppy Appeal Organizer, or visiting the RBL office at 39 Church Street, Paignton, TQ3 3AJ, or leave a message on the answer machine 01803 555838.

Volunteers are needed to help with the annual Poppy Appeal. Anybody interested is asked to contact the office - even for a short time, you will be very welcome
