The Torbay-based Purple Angel dementia campaign has signed up another business.
The Torbay-based Purple Angel dementia campaign has signed up another business.
The campaign believes in joining up with as many local and national businesses as possible to help them become that little bit more aware of dementia when dealing with those with dementia.
This is done completely free of charge by simply asking staff to read their booklet 'Helping Hands' " and for the managers/ CEO to confirm it's been read.
Founder Norrms McNamara says: "You can imagine my absolute delight when Torbay Countryside Trust asked if they could do this. Of course, we said yes, and I am so happy to announce they have completed all they were asked to do and are now officially Dementia Aware under the Purple Angel banner."
He added: "The number of people this benefits is enormous. As the countryside trust has so many rangers in many so rural, sometimes inaccessible places, if anybody was to go missing, and they do very frequently, or feeling distressed whilst out, they are now able to deal with it and advise other authorities involved in the missing person search to help find them and get them home safely hopefully."
He said a huge thanks to Trust CEO Helen Warren and all of her staff.
If your business wants to do the same, and for free email Norrms on norrms@gmail.com
