Missing South Devon teenager may be 'looking to go abroad'

A missing 16-year-old South Devon girl may be looking to travel abroad, police say.

Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a Christeen Madge who has been reported missing from the Newton Abbot area but may have links to Torquay as well.

Christeen was last seen at home on Saturday December 20. Police officers have been carrying out searches and inquiries to locate her and are now appealing to the public to report any sighting or information which may assist them.

She is described as being of Thai and English heritage, is of slim build, and around 5ft 2ins tall. She has long dark hair and it is not known what she was wearing when she went missing.

Police says Christeen has links to the Newton Abbot and Torquay areas but it is possible has travelled to London and may make efforts to travel abroad. Anyone who knows of Christeen’s whereabouts or has any information which may assist police is asked to call them on 999 immediately quoting log 208 of 21/12/24.
