Bay businesses help bring Christmas magic to Rowcroft

Five generous local businesses are supporting vital end-of-life care at Rowcroft Hospice and spreading festive joy through the sponsorship of Christmas trees that are adorning the charity’s Inpatient Unit.

Orestone Wealth Management, Spirent, MJ Health Recruitment, Brothwell Irvine Ltd and Facilitate Change Ltd have each donated £500, raising a total of £2,500 to help fund the hospice’s compassionate care for patients and their families, while the beautifully decorated Christmas trees are creating a merry, bright and homely festive atmosphere for patients, visitors, staff and volunteers alike during the Christmas period.

Lisa Whittaker, Corporate Fundraiser for Rowcroft Hospice, said: "Christmas is a time for giving, and we can’t thank these wonderful businesses enough for their kind and generous donations. We’re so grateful for this incredible support which helps us continue to provide specialist care to local people at the end of their lives. For patients and their loved ones who are spending time at the hospice this Christmas time, these beautiful trees are bringing an extra sparkly touch and spreading some Christmas magic."
The businesses involved are equally enthusiastic about their involvement in this festive initiative.

Rowcroft Hospice provides compassionate care and support to adults living with life-limiting illnesses across South Devon, with the charity relying heavily on donations to fund its services. During recent months, Rowcroft has indicated that the financial pressures facing the charity are significant – due to many factors including rising costs, stalled funding, a national drop in charitable giving, and a rising demand for end-of-life care services.

Rowcroft continues to stress the importance of community support to ensure that its vital services can continue to bring care and comfort to those facing the toughest times of their lives.
