Weather warning issued as 'wall of rain' set to hit Devon

A yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office for south Devon and Torbay as a 'wall of rain' batters the region.

Cornwall, the south west and southern Wales are also affected. 

The weather warning begins at 18:00 tonight and continues until 3am tomorrow.

The Met Office has advised there is a slight chance of power cuts, additional flooding and road closures.

What to Expect:

  • Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
  • Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
  • Some interruption to power supplies and other services likely
