Shiphay Co-op opens doors once again
Local schoolchildren, amateur dramatic enthusiasts and even Patrick the celebrity pony were there to celebrate the reopening of a Torquay store.
The Co-Op in Shiphay has reopened its doors after a major refit.
There to cut the ribbon were Patrick, dressed-up members of the Shiphay Amateur Dramatic Society, Torbay Hospital Radio and children from Peekabo Nursery School.
Geoffrey Wood, Co-op store manager, said: “It is very exciting to be relaunching Co-op’s Shiphay store. 
"Our aim is to always operate at the heart of local life and, we are really looking forward to welcoming members and customers into their new and improved store."
