Asda on Regent Close in Torquay was broken into in the early hours of yesterday (March 5), causing the store to shut for the morning.
The burglars broke in at 5.30am, entering the warehouse and customer kiosk.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police are investigating a burglary at a Torquay supermarket this morning, 5 March. Offenders forced two doors at Asda in Regent Close just before 5.30am and entered the warehouse and customer kiosk.
"Officers are currently on scene and carrying out enquiries to ascertain which goods have been stolen. A scene guard is currently in place.
"Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious at the store around the time of the offence is asked to contact police online or via 101, quoting crime reference 50240052958."
