Sylvia Goff celebrating her 100th birthday
Happy birthday to a special lady
Family and friends came from far and wide to celebrate Sylvia Goff's 100th birthday.
Torquay born Sylvia's family has been linked to the building trade for decades.
Her great grandfather Blatchford was a builder in the Bay in the 1800s and early 1900s. More recently there have been builders Goff & Son.
Sylvia was in the RAF during the Second World War and has received a certificate to mark her 100th birthday as well as a card from the King and Queen.
Previously she has received congratulation cards from the late Queen on the occasion of her 60th and 70th wedding anniversary celebrations.
She trained as a hairdresser and later went on to do carry out hospital car service travelling to various hospitals, Including Bristol for 24 years.
Registered blind, she enjoys talking books from the RNIB and Torquay Library.
A family get together was held to mark her centenary at the Anchorage Hotel in Babbacombe.
Children, grandchildren and great grandchildren attended together with friends and family. Some came from as far away as London and Portsmouth to join in the celebrations.
