Torbay AAC had six athletes taking part in The Bradleys Exmouth 10k this weekend. The race route is fast and flat running along the entire length of Exmouth beachfront.
There was a strong wind blowing off the sea but the rain held off. The runners battled against the strong winds battering the shoreline and persevered to the finish.
The route was a two-lap affair starting opposite the ocean on the Exmouth Seafront and heading up in a loop around Orcombe point before heading back along the beachfront. A small turning point brought runners back to the start to go around for the second lap, against the backdrop of the windswept coastline. Ian Sharrock claimed first place in the mv70 category and Nadine Lee 2nd fv55.
Results: Mark Smith 46.29, Pete Henderson 49.18, Katie Harvie 49.41, Nadine Lee 54.45 2nd F55.69, Ian Sharrock 56.45 1st mv70+, Irene Hewings 58.28.
Nick Robinson continued his run of fantastic racing by travelling up to the Forest of Dean to run the Autumn Trail Half Marathon. He finished in 49th place with a time of 1.44.27.
