A global pandemic didn't stop Torbay Hospital staff raising funds for the bay's lifeboat service.

Jayne Mullan and her colleagues from the Violet Mills surgical admission unit at Torbay Hospital, started running tombolas to raise funds for charities when their raffles were curtailed by Covid.
And they were presented with a 'thank you' certificate by Peter Thorp, chairman of Torbay Lifeboat Fundraisers (TLF), and David Phillips, community engagement ambassador for raising £150 for the charity.
This month also saw a new venue for the TLF coffee mornings at The Manor Inn, Galmpton, where Jonathan, Georgie and local volunteer, Beryl, provided a warm welcome in the sunshine and £317 was raised.
Regular RNLI Torbay stalls at Paignton Friday craft markets started last month and will be running regularly until the end of August. Go along and say hello - or, better still, volunteer to help.
There will be two fundraising coffee mornings in July. The first is on Wednesday, July 5, at 11.30am in All Saints' Church, Brixham, as part of Sea Week celebrations.
The second is at another popular venue, Harbour Lights in Paignton, on Tuesday, July 11, from 10am until 11.30am.
Meanwhile, spare a thought for Malou Evans, from Paignton, who will be competing in her third ultra marathon this year on Saturday, July 1, at The PIGUM, Abergavenny. She’s already raised £500 for RNLI Torbay.
