Discover Sailing with Paignton Sailing Club

Discover Sailing is your chance to have a FREE taste of what it is like to get out on the water and learn to sail. Paignton Sailing Club is hosting this special event from 5.30pm on Friday, July 25.

You will experience dinghy sailing accompanied by our experienced club instructors and dinghy sailing members.  You will also get to have a look around the club, see the facilities and experience the friendly club atmosphere.

There will be opportunities to explore other ways to become involved in the club. Join the team in their safety boats, spend time with experienced sailors, instructors and recent improvers and have a look around the Clubhouse, find out about the wide range of opportunities to take part in.  Children should be 8+ years old and adults are welcome at all times.

Discover Sailing is an opportunity to try something new and suits Duke of Edinburgh schemes as a new skill with continuous improvement through the RYA Stage 1-3 training courses, as well as opportunities for volunteering.

For Discover Sailing, the club recommends wearing comfortable clothes and footwear that you don't mind getting wet (just in case!) and bring a change of clothes. If the weather isn't very warm a windproof/ waterproof coat and trousers would be beneficial. A buoyancy aid or lifejacket will be provided by the sailing club.  There will be changing facilities on site. Sun hats and sunscreen are also important.

Please book your timeslot and arrive 15 minutes in advance of your booking to register and get ready to go on the water.
