Business guests at Newton Abbot Racecourse were treated to a surprise appearance from equine royalty at the venue’s first Business Club luncheon on 16 July.

After a well-presented lunch, guests heard from Clerk of the Course Ben Robards, who gave an engaging insight into the behind-the-scenes work that goes into preparing for race days.

But it was legendary jockey-turned-trainer Jimmy Frost who stole the show, delighting diners with stories from his years in the saddle and beyond.

The day’s unexpected highlight came courtesy of Jimmy himself – as he introduced a very special guest, Frodon, the champion racehorse who won more than £1 million in prize money during a glittering career.

Frodon famously helped launch Jimmy’s daughter, Bryony Frost, into racing stardom and was more than happy to pose in the sunshine for attendees.
