Job opportunities at Plainmoor

Torquay United have advertised for two new roles at Plainmoor, as the Bryn Consortium seek to build their platform for a future of sustainable success.

The club statement said: ‘The Managing Director will play a crucial role in shaping this direction, overseeing the Club’s day-to-day management, commercial strategy, and overall growth. The successful candidate will work closely with CEO Joe Lovell to drive the Club forward.

‘At the same time, Torquay United is also recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join our current commercial team. This key role will focus on building strong partnerships with commercial partners and sponsors, and will help drive revenue growth and strengthen relationships with the business community, ensuring a thriving commercial future for Torquay United.

The Club is inviting applications for the Managing Director role from experienced professionals with a background in football or sports management, events, leisure or hospitality, as well as those with strong leadership, commercial, and business development experience from other industries.

The Managing Director will work alongside CEO Joe Lovell, the Board, sponsors, and supporters to ensure Torquay United continues to thrive, while the Business Development Manager will play a key role in expanding the Club’s commercial reach.
