Dates confirmed for 2026 English Riviera Airshow

The English Riviera Airshow will mark its 10th anniversary in 2026, with organisers promising another weekend of aerial displays and seafront celebrations in Torbay.

Building on the success of this year’s three-day event, which attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors and delivered a £5 million boost to the local economy, the 2026 edition will again feature a Friday night ‘Take Off’ event with live entertainment, a Spitfire flypast and pyrotechnic finale.

The airshow is scheduled to return from Friday 29 May to Sunday 31 May 2026, centred on Paignton Green. Admission will remain free, with donations encouraged.

Cllr Jackie Thomas, Torbay Council’s Cabinet Member for Tourism, Culture & Events, said: “Reaching the 10-year milestone is a remarkable achievement for the English Riviera Airshow.

"At a time when many similar events have struggled to continue, we’ve not only kept the show flying but have grown it year on year. That’s thanks to the unwavering support of the English Riviera BID Company, our sponsors, and the generous local businesses who continue to rally behind us.”

Carolyn Custerson, Chief Executive of the English Riviera BID Company, added: “The English Riviera Airshow alone generates around £5 million for the local economy, which is why the BID Company is proud to fully support this flagship event.

"Hosting the Airshow in our stunning natural amphitheatre, surrounded by multiple viewing points, means everyone has the chance to enjoy the breathtaking aerial displays.”

The RAF’s display allocation for 2026 will be confirmed in spring, with organisers hopeful of welcoming back some of the nation’s most iconic teams.
