A highly anticipated event venue opening in central Torquay has announced its first acts.
In December 2024, we announced that the former site of the iconic Bohemia nightclub on Torwood Street was being transformed into a purpose-built venue, Arena Torquay.
Set to open in late spring 2025, Arena Torquay will be a state-of-the-art space for music, theatre, comedy, and cultural events, with a standing capacity of 1,200 and seating for 450.
Directors Steve Garratt and Dan Sheldon said: "Arena Torquay represents the next chapter in Torquay's cultural scene, providing a stage for top-class performances, local talent, and everything in between."
Preparations are well underway, and the venue has now launched its official website.
You can now book tickets for a variety of events, starting with a concert by legendary Irish folk rock band Hothouse Flowers on Saturday, June 14.
Other upcoming events include highly regarded tribute acts to some of the world's biggest bands and a performance by the iconic dancer and percussionist, Bez.
