Ryan Dickson leaves his role with the Gulls

Former Torquay United and Plymouth Argyle midfielder Kevin Wills has been named as the Gulls’ new Under-18s manager after Ryan Dickson left the club and his post as director of the ProDirect Academy at South Devon College.
Wills, 42, who already works at SDC and is well-known to most of the Gulls’ starlets, has switched from an assistant manager role at nearby Buckland Athletic.
He enjoyed a playing career with Argyle, United where he was a member of the 2003-2004 League Two promotion team, Tiverton Town and Truro City.
Dickson is believed to be taking up a post in the private sector.
Under Head of Youth Robbie Herrera, United beat Hamworthy United away 3-1 in the SW Counties Youth League at the weekend with goals from Charlie Wills, Ethan O’Sullivan and Andrew Ellis. United’s Women, for whom Rachel Griffiths scored, lost 2-1 at home to second-placed Keynsham
Town in the National League Division One SW. The Gulls host leaders AFC Bournemouth this Sunday.
