A new showhome has opened in Paignton as part of a larger housing development at The Orchards.
Cllr Alan Tyerman, Torbay Council’s Cabinet Member for Housing and Finance and ward councillor for Churston with Galmpton, officially unveiled the Charles Church property.
The Orchards development is being built by Persimmon Homes’ sister company and will eventually include 373 homes.

The current phase features 23 properties, comprising 19 four-bedroom and four five-bedroom homes, with prices starting at £450,000. Charles Church said the showhome is now available for viewings.
Cllr Tyerman said he was pleased with the quality of the homes and the engagement between the developer and the council.
He said: “It was a pleasure to open the new Charles Church showhome at The Orchards. It is really positive to see the high-quality of the homes being built in the area, knowing they will be the much-loved homes for generations of future residents.
“I commend Charles Church and Persimmon on their engagement with myself as a local representative and with the Council to ensure we can deliver much-needed new housing in Torbay, and was pleased to see the progress being made on site.”
The development is located near Broadsands Beach and offers access to local shops, schools, restaurants, and transport links, including Paignton train station and roads to Exeter, Newton Abbot, and Plymouth.
