Rock legend Stewart Copeland, co-founder and drummer of The Police, will perform at the Babbacombe Theatre in Torquay this autumn as part of his UK tour.
The spoken word show, Have I Said Too Much: The Police, Hollywood, And Other Adventures, comes to the venue on Thursday 9 October at 7.30pm.
The tour coincides with the release of Copeland’s new limited-edition album Artifacts from the Vault and a brand-new authorised biography, both available in signed formats, some featuring his drum skins and sticks.
Copeland said: “I am really happy that this collection of never-before-released music can accompany a unique and very different authorised biography – I hope fans will enjoy its sideways take on my life as much as I enjoyed arguing with the author about all the details he insisted be included!”
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Copeland was one of the driving forces behind The Police’s global success in the 1970s and 80s. A multi-Grammy winner, his career has since spanned composing for Hollywood films including Rumble Fish and Wall Street, as well as operas, ballet, and classical symphonies.
