Standing ovation for multiple Bay theatres in global Tripadvisor awards

Management and staff at the Palace Theatre in Paignton are celebrating top recognition.

The Palace Avenue venue has just received its Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award for 2025. 

It means the Palace is among the top 10 per cent of listings around the world on Tripadvisor. 

A spokesman said: "We've received this award every year since Jazz Hands CIC took over the theatre in 2018.

"Our customer feedback is always so very positive and now it's official, again. Thanks to our incredible team and talented performers for bringing the magic."

Across the Bay management and staff at Babbacombe Theatre were taking a bow after a similar accolade.

They were also named among the world's top 10 per cent of attractions on Tripadvisor.

The theatre has been included in the travel guide website's 2025 Travellers' Choice Awards.

Colin Matthews, managing director at Babbacombe Theatre said: “It’s a real honour to be recognised once again for doing what we love – entertaining our community and visitors alike.

“We’re so grateful to our loyal patrons and dedicated team who make every performance special.” 

The Travellers' Choice Award celebrates businesses that consistently deliver fantastic experiences, based on reviews and ratings that have been collected over the past year.

The theatre thanked its “incredible audiences” for sharing their positive feedback and reviews of their experience at the theatre.
