Torbay to host Beatles and Céline Dion tribute concerts

Babbacombe Theatre in Torquay is set to host two tribute concerts this July, featuring music by The Beatles and Céline Dion.

The Magic of the Beatles will take to the stage on Friday, 4 July, at 7.30pm. The production aims to recreate the energy and atmosphere of a live Beatles concert, with a look-alike cast portraying John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. The show includes a selection of the band’s most recognisable songs, including She Loves You, A Hard Day’s Night, Hey Jude and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

The sell-out show has toured internationally and is described by organisers as a celebration of the group’s influence on pop music.

Celebrating Celine – The Ultimate Céline Dion Tribute Concert will be performed the following evening, Saturday 5 July, at 7.30pm.

The concert features acclaimed vocalist January Butler alongside a live band and includes a two-hour set spanning four decades of Dion’s career.

Songs include It’s All Coming Back to Me Now, My Heart Will Go On, Think Twice, The Power of Love and River Deep, Mountain High. Organisers say the performance includes live vocals and themed costumes and aims to reflect the scale and energy of a Céline Dion concert.
