What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than a dazzling light experience on the grounds of a mediaeval fortified manor house?
Christmas has officially arrived at Powderham Castle in Exminster, with a spectacular light display across the festive period.

From November 25 to December 31, the walls of the 600-year-old home of the Earl of Devon will light up, transforming the estate into a family-friendly winter wonderland.

Set against the iconic 200-acre deer park, this festive experience is perfect for families with children, who can conclude their exploration of the grounds with a visit to Santa in his grotto, where he will be handing out special gifts.

For a more indulgent experience, Powderham Castle is offering afternoon tea in its festively decorated music room. Visitors can enjoy a selection of seasonal snacks paired with their choice of an alcoholic fizz, gin and tonic, or a non-alcoholic beverage.

Admission is priced at £14.95 for adults and £8.95 for children. Santa’s Grotto and afternoon tea are optional extras that must be booked separately on select dates.
