Seafood FEAST 2023 promises to be bigger, better and even tastier

England's Seafood Feast is returning to the English Riviera this week for a two week celebration of world-renowned locally caught and landed seafood

Over 40 eateries across the towns of Brixham, Paignton and Torquay are taking part, including Simon Hulstone's The Elephant and Mitch Tonks' Rockfish. There are lots of exciting exclusive events, seafood menus and Brixham Fish Market is also offering a limited number of early morning tours.
The celebration starts on Friday September 29 and finishes on Sunday October 15.
Just a few tasty tit-bits include
Meet the Maker with Simon Hulstone of The Elephant and Frazer Pugh of The Hand Picked Scallop Company on October 12 when Simon will be cooking up a delicious feast featuring hand-dived scallops from the local waters of Torbay, whilst Frazer will immerse guests in an engaging discussion about what life is like at sea
Seafood Celebration Lunch are also being held at The Elephant from Wednesdays to Saturdays (October 4 to 7 and October 11 to 14) during the FEAST.
Restaurateur Mitch Tonks, founder and CEO of Rockfish, who will be serving up Seafood FEAST Mussels at Rockfish Brixham and Rockfish Torquay.
SUP Adventurer and world record holder Brendon Prince will be at Shoreline, Paignton, on October 13 for a three course Seafood Sharing Feast before telling his fascinating and inspiring journey to date whilst raising money for Above Water.
Coastal Artist Becky Bettesworth will be holding a Coastal Art and Afternoon Tea at the Hampton by Hilton Hotel on October 13.
Winemaker Duncan Schwab, CEO and Head Winemaker at Sandridge Barton, will be hosting an exclusive celebratory seafood supper at Sandridge Barton on September 29 with a tour of the winery beforehand.
Marine Biologist Monty Halls will be giving a talk followed by a five-course taster menu at The Thatched Tavern on October 11.
Matt Newbury, author of Wild Swimming Walks, will be leading a Sea Swim and Seafood at the Cantina at Goodrington on October 3.
Carolyn Custerson, Chief Executive of organisers the English Riviera BID Company, said: “England’s Seafood FEAST is an occasion for both locals and visitors to the area to fully immerse themselves in a true celebration of our locally caught and landed seafood. It’s an opportunity to taste the exquisite flavour of dishes cooked by local chefs while breathing in the fresh sea air and admiring the natural beauty of our stunning coastal region.”
