Trevor remembered as Bay's licensed trade show they are the Best Bar None!

A special tribute was paid to a well-known and much-respected figure

A special tribute was paid to a well-known and much-respected figure in Torbay's night-time economy as businesses celebrated all that is best in the sector.
For the first time since 2019 and the nightmare and challenges of Covid, members of the Bay's licensed trade came together at Torquay's Imperial Hotel to celebrate success in the Best Bar None Awards.
There was a poignant moment when co-chairman Rob Elford remembered former Street Pastor Trevor Staveley.
Trevor, who passed away earlier this year, was a founding member of Best Bar None Torbay and volunteered as co-ordinator of Torbay Street Pastors for 13 years.
The award for Customer Safety and Wellness - the T.R.E.V.O.R award - is named after him.
The scheme, launched in Torbay in 2015 and backed by the Home Office and drinks industry, promotes and rewards best practice in the licensed industry.
Rob and co-chair Tracey Pounds welcomed guests. Following a three-course dinner host Mark Voisey led an array of awards presented to corporate and independent venues.
Following the awards ceremony guests enjoyed local band Mammoth and DJ Mark Voisey.

The event was sponsored by Carlsberg Marston’s, Global Brand and Future Media,
