The top match in the Joma Devon Women's Football League was in the Western Division, where Torquay United entertained Activate from Plymouth.

The home side were planning to put a dent their visitors title hopes and at the same time strengthen their own claims. However, a goal apiece from Wendy Wise, Amy Wise and Becky McMullin resulted in a 3-0 win for Activate, which opened a gap at the top of the table.

In the Eastern Division, Exeter City continued their quest for the title with a 5 - 0 home win over Bradninch. At the other end of the table, Ottery St Mary collected their first points of the season from a thrilling 6-5 away win against University of Exeter.

Chloe Mack scored twice for the students but an incredible personal haul of six goals from 'hot shot' Kelsey Salter gave the Otters three well-earned points.
