Yeovil Town have confirmed that Chris Todd, whose departure as Torquay United's Head Of Youth was announced on Wednesday, is to become the Glovers' assistant manager.
Todd, 40, who is also leaving his post at the Pro:Direct Academy at South Devon College, has joined up with new Yeovil manager Chris Hargreaves, his former teammate in the Gulls' side which won promotion back to the Football League in 2009.
In the first few weeks of his tenure at Huish Park, Hargreaves has been working with ex-Town and Bristol Rovers striker Marcus Stewart.
But Stewart will now become Yeovil's Head Of Player Development, with Hargreaves and Todd in full charge of the first team which will rival the Gulls in the National League.
Logistically, it should work for the pair - Hargreaves lives in Exeter and Todd in Cullompton.
They became friends soon after they both joined Torquay under Paul Buckle in 2007, midfielder Hargreaves from Oxford United and Swansea-born Todd from Exeter City.
Meanwhile, United have advertised their Head of Youth post, and there is already strong interest from potential candidates, not just from around the South-West but beyond.
