Torquay United releases eight and offers new deals to 13 players

Torbay Weekly

Torquay United manager Gary Johnson has released eight players, including former Plymouth Argyle starlet Klaidi Lolos and fellow striker Dan Holman, in his retained list announced on Tuesday (Writes Dave Thomas).

The Gulls have offered new deals to 13 players, including veterans Dean Moxey, Danny Wright and Asa Hall, but there is ongoing speculation about at least two of them - leading scorer Armani Little and attacking midfielder Connor Lemonheigh-Evans.

All the men who've been offered new deals have a month from last weekend's end of the season to accept or finally reject the terms.

But Johnson has stressed that he will be getting on with the job of making new signings as soon as possible.

Goalkeeper Mark Halstead and midfielders Keelan O'Connell and Gabby Rogers, who finished the season on loan at Plymouth Parkway, are already under contract for next season.

Offered new deals are Ali Omar, Dean Moxey, Danny Wright, Asa Hall, Dan Martin, Tom Lapslie, Ben Wynter, Shaun MacDonald, Joe Lewis, Armani Little, Connor Lemonheigh-Evans, Olaf Koszela and Alex Moyse.

The freed eight are Louie Slough, Klaidi Lolos, Dan Holman, Scott Piper, Chiori Johnson, Joe Felix, goalkeeper Marcin Brzozowski and Jake Andrews, who played the second half of the season on loan at NL South club Havant & Waterlooville.
