Torquay United goal scoring duo tipped to move on
New National League champions Stockport County have joined the list of clubs chasing Torquay United’s out-of-contract star Connor Lemonheigh-Evans.
Lemonheigh-Evans, 25 – the Gulls’ 2021 Player Of The Year – was second top scorer with 11 goals last season but he is tipped to move on after more than three years at Plainmoor.
The Welshman has already been linked with Walsall, who will be Stockport’s rivals in League Two next season.
Also poised for a move away from Torquay is 15-goal 2022 top scorer Armani Little – several big-spending National League teams want him, although the ex-Oxford United midfielder would prefer a move back to the EFL.
Meanwhile, the Gulls report strong ‘Early Bird’ season ticket sales, even though manager Gary Johnson has yet to make his first summer signings. Cheap rates run to next Friday, June 3.
United have been strongly linked with Poole Town’s prolific striker Tony Lee, who hit 36 goals in 37 games last season.
