Watcombe Wanderers have kicked off their involvement in the Devon Football League mini tournament with successive victories over Buckland and Roselands.
The tournament involves five groups comprising four teams each, with the group winners and three best runners-up progressing to the quarter-finals at the end of May.
Watcombe began their tournament with a thrilling derby at Roselands, eventually running out 4-3 winners, thanks to goals from Ollie Aplin, Will Allen, Charlie Cuss and a Ben Clark penalty.
Last weekend, the Wanderers hosted Buckland Athletic Reserves and, despite a depleted squad, Watcombe recovered from a goal down at half-time to secure an excellent 2-1 victory.
Zack Chalmers-Wood pounced on a goalkeeping error to stroke home the equaliser and a corner from Cuss picked out Jack Lavercombe for a superb header to secure all three points.
Watcombe host Teignmouth on Saturday, another side who have made a 100% start to the tournament.
