Teenage Queen's Park Rangers striker Sinclair Armstrong has bid a fond farewell to Torquay United after an impressive two-month loan spell at Plainmoor.
Dublin-born Eire under-19 international Armstrong, 18, scored twice in eight appearances, interrupted by international calls and a Covid 'isolation', and he helped to inspire the Gulls' 2-1 win at Yeovil Town off the subs' bench at the weekend.
"I just want to thank Torquay United for having me on loan," tweeted Armstrong, 18.
"It's been a great experience overall for myself. I am leaving a better person than when I came in, learnt a lot about myself and this is an experience I will never forget."
United manager Gary Johnson asked QPR to extend Armstrong's loan, but they opted to take him back to Loftus Road.
