The first four weeks of the basketball season has produced a 'mixed' bag for Torbay teams.

In Division One, Torbay Tigers have started off with one win against Spartan Nomads II 96-54 and one loss as Spartan Nomads I got revenge for their second team winning at Churston 57-73 in an epic encounter.

In Division Three, Torquay Trailblazers have started off their first season in the league with one win out of their only match.

This was an overtime win 72-69 against another new club, Bridgwater Basketball.

In Division Two, Newton Abbot Pacers' first team have started off with one win and one loss, their win away against North Devon 74-89, and a 72-62 away loss to Exeter Spartans.

In Division Three, Newton Abbot Pacers' second team have started with two losses, and their ladies' team has started with a loss against Exeter Spartans in what is a new team-building year after Covid.

The basketball season runs from September to end of March and is the biggest indoor participant sport in the UK.
