It's all systems 'go' for the Tolchards Devon Cricket League to start the 2021 season as scheduled on May 1.

In the wake of the Government's Covid-lockdown easing plan, the league is confident that matches can start on time, with some of the 2020 restrictions - no teas or indoor changing facilities - in place at least for a while.

Meanwhile, Paignton appear set for a tilt at a first Premier Division title for 16 years.

Former captain and batsman Seb Benton is back at Queen's Park, where they have also recruited a new overseas player - Sri Lankan all-rounder Sehan Weerasinghe.

Weerasinghe, 25, has scored almost 1,800 runs and taken 136 wickets over the last two years with Lancashire league club Brinscall.
