Buckfastleigh Rangers faced a tough trip to Salcombe Town in the TCS SDFL Premier Division but took their chances well to go back to the top of the league.
The sides went into the break level but four second half goals saw Rangers pull clear and win the game 5-2. Steve Sutton scored twice with Joshua Norrie, Charlie Morgan and Joshua Zimmerman also on target; Ben Tapper and Ashley Yeoman found the net for the Crabs.
Cal Foskett's goal at Wall Park earned Newton Abbot '66 a second successive draw against table topping opponents. Brixham AFC Reserves slip back to second place as a result.
Watts Blake Bearne goalkeeper Jamie Howarth was a virtual spectator at Abbrook Park as the Claymen tore apart Barton Athletic, 21-0 the final score (although WBB recorded 22 goal scorers).
In fact, Howarth and Tom Barber were the only players not to register a goal in the game with Sam Peardon and Cam Gill scoring four apiece; Mike Tapper claiming a hat-trick; Lewis Perring, Billy Clinch and Jakeb Heywood-Cann with braces and Sam Stowell, Gavin Weeks, Liam Dore, Ben Robinson and Lewis Austin each hitting the back of the net. WBB climb back above East Allington United, who didn't play, to complete the top three.
Carlton Allen scored twice for The Windmill in their 3-2 derby win at Elburton Villa Reserves. Rhys Walton also netted for the visitors with Scott Allen and Ryan Waterschoot scoring for Elburton.
Alex Henniker and substitute Adam Lake scored the goals which earned Ivybridge Town Reserves a 2-0 home victory over Meadowbrook Athletic, the team who scored seven against them back in October.
David Hatch put away a hat-trick for Harbertonford in their outstanding Herald Cup tie at Dartmouth AFC. Samuel Passmore also scored to complete a comfortable passage into the Second Round.
Unbeaten Division One leaders Kingsteignton Athletic played under the lights at the Duckspond on Thursday evening and won 2-1 against hosts Buckfastleigh Rangers Reserves. Chris Barnett and Matthew Hooper struck for the Rams with George Davidson replying for Rangers.
Nathan Bridger and Joseph McFarlane stepped off the bench to score for Waldon Athletic in their 3-1 triumph at Chudleigh Athletic Reserves. Josh Clarke also scored one for the Clarets with Chudleigh's goal delivered by Bradley Yarnall.
Goals from Jake Powell and Danny Rainbow helped Paignton Saints extend their unbeaten league run to eight. Jack Eades found the net for home side Beesands Rovers but Saints ran out 2-1 victors.
It was also a good day for neighbours Paignton Villa who finally picked up their first win of the campaign by beating Upton Athletic 6-1 away. Tom Parvin celebrated a hat-trick, Thomas Mayer scored twice and Richard Malone found the net for Villa with Mark McGregor grabbing Upton's consolation.
There was also a big away win for Ashburton who defeated Kingskerswell and Chelston 7-1.
In Division Two, first half strikes by Dan and Jack Langford saw Ilsington Villa extend their 100 per cent record to 11 games by beating Newton Rovers 2-0.
Second-placed Torquay Town cruised to a 7-0 win at home to Ipplepen Athletic Reserves while Babbacombe Corinthians, some distance behind in third, put eight past Barton Athletic Reserves without reply.
Ryan Mellish scored a hat-trick in that game, Dean Coles doubled up and there were goals from Callum Leeds, Curtis Marshall and substitute Ben Nickells.
Division Three leaders Watts Blake Bearne enjoyed a tenth successive win and kept their third clean sheet in a row as they won 6-0 at Liverton United Reserves. Samuel Pearce scored twice and was joined on the score-sheet by Tom Hooper, Luke Pellowe, Tom Taylor and Nathan Williams.
Stuart Pointon scored twice for unbeaten Brixham Town in their 5-2 win at Chudleigh Athletic Thirds while Newton Abbot '66 Reserves strengthened their grip on third spot with a 3-2 home win over Kingsbridge and Kellaton United.
Doubles from Alistair Chuchuk and Matthew Churchill edged Division Four leaders Bovey Tracey Reserves closer to the 100 goal mark as the Moorlanders won 7-1 away at Babbacombe Corinthians Reserves.
Daniel Beech and James Loram doubled up for Brixham Town Reserves as they also celebrated a 7-1 win, at home to Newton Rovers Reserves.
