Steve Flavell from Torquay Museum:

Half-term is here and the Torquay Museum gift shop is ready to welcome visitors.

Finding unique gifts and birthday presents can be a pain but the museum gift shop has it covered.

Our stock is updated with every new temporary exhibition the museum puts on, the items on the shelves have become varied and eclectic, perfect for finding something distinctive.

The shop also stocks an assortment of books and gifts from local authors and artists.

At long last the online shop is up and running and filled with great things.

The museum has had a great deal of iconic Agatha Christie items stocked in the gift shop since last summer - and now most of which can now be found online.

Included in the Agatha Christie range are products inspired by classic Agatha Christie book covers. You can find tea towels, magnets, coasters and lens cloths online.

You can also buy delightful prints directly from the museum archive on photographic paper as well as Torquay Museum branded items such as notebooks and car stickers, all from the comfort of your home.

You can find the online shop on the Devon Museums website at devonmuseums.net.

If you are looking for an alternative to plastic toys for the children, the museum still has a huge range of Lanka Kade fair trade wooden toys including animal figures and unicorn jigsaws.

These toys are high quality and handcrafted with bright colours and natural wood finishes.

Are you looking for something unique to display on your wall? The museum still has some incredible Cold War Russian maps of Torquay in stock and they can supply prints from images in the archive such as those seen as part of the 'Windows in Time’ exhibition.

Staff have been working to make Torquay Museum a go to place to discover special gifts. In store, staff and volunteers are always on hand to offer helpful advice for picking the perfect gift.

When you make a purchase all profits go back into supporting the museum.

The gift shop is accessible without the need for an entry ticket.

The Torquay Museum gift shop is an unexpected treasure trove of delightful gifts for all ages, ranging from pocket money items, soft toys, exhibition related merchandise to local interest, natural history and cat books.

There is also a large Agatha Christie section, which includes most, if not all, of her books and limited edition prints.
