Members of the Paignton branch of the Royal British Legion have paid their own respects to Prince Philip.
They gathered at the War Memorial in Palace Gardens to make a small gesture on behalf of the people of Paignton in commemoration of the life of the Duke of Edinburgh.
A spokesman for the Legion said: "His love and support of our Queen and dedication to our country and the Commonwealth have been well documented.
"A wreath was laid as a mark of respect and condolence to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and the Royal Family. May they be comforted by those close to them."
