The local community branch of Winkworth Estate Agents is joining the Torbay Weekly campaign to support the amazing work of Rowcroft Hospice.
The Winkworth team, based on Fore Street in Brixham and covering the whole of the Bay, will donate £100 of their fee from any property put on the market and sold between Easter and August.
“We’ve been running our office in Brixham for a little over three-and-a-half years,” said Trevor Branton, Co-Director of Winkworth Torbay alongside Richard Blake.
“Richard and I have been working in estate agency for a number of years, with around 50 years of experience in the local area, and we’ve always wanted to put something back into the community.
“We’re of the mindset that we want to offer things that are important to local people.
“I have a close relative who is very unwell in hospital and could possibly be going into a hospice very soon, and my wife has a connection with the Dartmouth Caring Charity, so it is a cause that is close to home for me, as well as many people in Torbay.
“We are now hopefully in a financial position to make our little contribution to Rowcroft.
“We cover the whole of Torbay as a franchise of Winkworth, which has branches across the country and worldwide.
“It has been a particularly challenging time for everybody and Rowcroft seemed the natural choice for us to support.
“The hospice is a key part of Torbay life and, although we are a national company, we’ve got local staff, local connections and local knowledge.
“We are proud to be supporting local heroes from our little office in Brixham.”

It is exactly a year since the Torbay Weekly launched, offering a new newspaper for our Naturally Inspiring Bay, and the ambition for our next 12 months is to raise £50,000 for Rowcroft by donating 20p to the hospice from every sale of the paper under the new cover price of £1.
