VE Day ‘stay at home’ parties were held in front gardens across Torbay as the nation celebrated the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Bunting was flying, flags too - and cream teas were enjoyed as Torbay residents joined in with the two minutes’ silence at 11am on Friday, May 8, and then the Queen’s speech to the nation at 9pm.
