Leading estate agents in Torbay are backing the new Torbay Weekly.
Jon Williams, director of Williams Hedge Estate Agents, said: 'We very much look forward to the launch of the Torbay Weekly, an inspirational free newspaper focusing on local news and topics that matter to the people of Torbay.'
In 2010, career estate agents Mark Hedge and Jon Williams opened Williams Hedges' first office in Paignton and later this year they will celebrate the firms 10th anniversary.
Jon added: 'The last 10 years have flown by and it has been an amazing journey launching a cold start business and building it to be one of the leading estate agents businesses across the Bay.
'In our first 10 years we have been fortunate to receive amazing support from the Torbay public and along the way we have been proud to have received awards for the UK's Best New Estate Agency and UK's Best Small Estate Agency amongst others.
'As a locally owned and run business, we have always endeavoured to provide outstanding customer service and innovative marketing and we feel that the Torbay Weekly will increase our advertising reach by being delivered into local homes where our property adverts can be seen by everyone.
'The use of technology in marketing is of course important in this day and age but we undoubtably feel that there is a place for a quality free paper, focusing on local news, inspiring articles and diverse opinions for the benefit of our local community.

'The South Devon property market has seen a very positive start to 2020 and following the political uncertainty surrounding the last quarter of 2019 we have witnessed an increase in enquiries and sales from both local and out of area buyers which bodes well for the rest of the year.
'Personally, as a born and bred Paigntonian, I feel that there is an exciting future for Torbay, and it is time to be more positive about the opportunities and benefits of living in such a beautiful part of the country.
'In our opinion, we think it's the perfect time to deliver some innovative and 'feel good' news concerning Torbay and we wish Jim Parker and all the team at Torbay Weekly the very best of success.
'We at Williams Hedge and many of our fellow estate agents across 'The Bay' look forward to seeing our property adverts in the paper each week.
