With the ERBID Company's key role destination marketing, responsibility now lies with the company to lead on attracting visitors back to the resort and a new 'Welcome Back' national advertising campaign was launched immediately after the PM's announcement last Tuesday and includes targeted Google paid advertising across high-traffic digital platforms including Gumtree, eBay, Sky, Mail, Express, Mirror, Birmingham Mail, Northampton Post, Wales Online and Liverpool Echo.
As a result, the 'Welcome Back' adverts have been viewed more than 950,000 times so far leading to a significant increase in traffic to the official English Riviera website where businesses that are re-opening have been highlighted.
The campaign is targeting 25 to 69 year olds in and around Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Derby, Gloucester, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Oxford, Reading, Salisbury, Sheffield, Southampton, Stoke-on-Trent, Wolverhampton and Worcestershire, with an objective to generate a renewed interest in staycations and domestic visitor bookings to the English Riviera.
