How you can make the Bay sparkle this Christmas

Here's your chance to make Torbay Sparkle this Christmas.
The Torbay Weekly has teamed up with some special festive partners to launch a competition which will add a touch of colour across homes, businesses, hotels, bars and restaurants and other commercial premises this Yuletide - and raise money for Rowcroft Hospice at the same time.
Torbay Sparkles is asking home and business owners to brighten up their homes and the Bay with Christmas decorations galore.
There will be different categories to enter and cups and certificates to be won which will all be presented at a special festive gathering at Torquay's Templestowe Hotel which is owned by competition sponsors Majestic Holidays and where holidaymakers are already lapping up the Christmas spirit.
Majestic Holidays owner Mark Wright said: "There will be a lovely Christmas feel and atmosphere."
The competition is being run in conjunction with the Torquay Town Centre Partnership, who are behind the town's Christmas illuminations, and the Sunrise Rotary and Tormohun Rotary clubs who make sure Santa is tucked up nicely in his Fleet Walk grotto and adhering to Covid safety guidelines.
Steve Holdup, of Torbay Display, and Mike 'Mr Carnival' Bailey are leading the competition with £5 and £10 entry fees (depending on your category) going straight to Rowcroft

Have a great time putting your displays together and we look forward to your entries big and small. Winners will received prizes at the evening at the Templestowe Hotel who have sponsored the event along with Torbay Weekly."
