Doctors, nurses and their NHS colleagues are being given a well-deserved treat at sites across South Devon by a local street food company.

While they battle with the business complexities imposed by lockdown restrictions, Lemon Jelli have taken their coffee and crepes out to NHS workers.

Volunteer staff have already handed out more than 1,500 free hot drinks and crepes, with a Lemon Jelli van now stationed permanently outside the minor injuries unit in Newton Abbot for the frontline team to enjoy a break.

“We are staying at Newton Abbot while their café is shut and the NHS staff have been delighted, they love our food and we are so happy to be there while on furlough,” said Sarah Dumont from Lemon Jelli Events.
