Sir David Attenborough's praise for Brixham beach plastic art project
- Credit: YES! Brixham
Hannah Beaumont has not been in Brixham long but in the short time she has been here she has established herself as a valued and committed member of the community.
Hannah’s efforts to protect our environment has seen her lead litter picks with YES! Brixham's Young Volunteer programme, create a community garden to increase and protect biodiversity in a Furzeham neighbourhood.
She has also established her own art project called 'Me and the Plastic Sea' which sees her repurpose the microplastics she finds on our beaches and turns them into art in an effort to spread the message about keeping our environment clean.
Now Hannah's work has been recognised by none other than Sir David Attenborough, who has responded to a letter Hannah sent telling him about all the work that has been going on in Brixham to protect the environment.
