Torquay Rotary Club marked their centenary in September partly by contributing 100 items to Riviera Life Storehouse, the Torquay food bank.

Rotarians decided to celebrate Christmas by giving another 100 items towards festive hampers, which turned out to be more like 150 items plus some cheques from members.

On top of that was a gift from Ambrosia, through Rotary, of 100 custard desserts plus 100 rice puddings.

The goods were stored in the garage of the club's immediate past president Maureen Macdonald, seen on the right with colleague Lorna Milnes.

The food was handed over by Rotary president-elect Gerald Arnold to Jackie Williams of the food bank. Torquay Rotary continues to meet via Zoom and delivers goods to the Babbacombe Road food bank every fortnight.
