Preston Baptist Church has welcomed a new minister.

The Rev James Brown, before training for the church at Spurgeon’s College, was  a Paramedic in London for eight years for the London Ambulance service.

He helped plant a church in London, and subsequently was Youth Pastor at Frampton Park Baptist Church.

James is married to Louise who is a Music Therapist, having graduated from Southampton University and the Royal School of Music. For the last eight years she has worked for the NHS Child Development service. Before that she was a primary school teacher. Whilst at Southampton she was a special constable.

They have three young children. James and family love to be in the sea, surfing, kite surfing, wakeboarding or any other sea activity. They are also ardent Caravanners, especially enjoying holidays on the north Devon Coast.
