Children at a Paignton primary school have turned to video as a means of staying entertained and stimulated through the lockdown period.

One pupil at White Rock Primary School, Oliver Nixon, has taken that to a new level by answering 152 times tables in just 50 seconds, an effort now being put forward for consideration as a world record.

'Children have been sending in videos and pictures showing us how they keep motivated and busy while away from school.' said Molly Bowen, resources manager at White Rock. 'The Times Table Rock Stars is a challenge for the children to answer times table questions as quickly as possible and Oliver's video is just incredible. Another lad, Dan Boosey, took part in the 2.6 challenge. Dan lives with cerebral palsy and has completed his challenge of walking up and down stairs at home - 26 times. He has raised over £461. This is a massive achievement.'
