Emergency services respond after person falls into the sea

A casualty was rescued after falling into the sea at Berry Head, with Coastguard and ambulance crews taking them to hospital

Brixham coastguard rescue team and the Devon Air Ambulance launched a joint operation after reports of a person who had fallen into the see.
While at Broadsands, the rescue team were re-tasked to Berry Head to support the Ambulance Service with a casualty who had been injured following a fall into the sea.
The casualty’s friends had already assisted them out of the water before the coastguards' arrival.
Due to their injuries, medical help was requested.
South Western Ambulance Service and the Devon Air Ambulance attended, and the casualty was transported to hospital by land ambulance for further treatment.
