Torbay florist on the move after half a century of trading

Susan Wills-Pope has no plans to call it a day after more than 50 years in the flower business. But she is focusing her attention on pastures.
After 52 years trading from 14 Hyde Road in Paignton, Susan is moving to Torquay where she will be welcoming customers to the Flower Corner in Ilsham Road in Wellswood.
Susan says she is sad to be leaving her shop in Paignton after so many years.
But she feels that helping in Wellswood with assistant Ally, who has worked for Susan for 30 years, and Lyn who has worked for Susan at Flower Corner for 25 years is the right move for her.
She says: "I have some very loyal customers in Paignton so I hope they will come and see me in Wellswood or just pick up the phone and speak to me."
During her time in Paignton Susan has won many Floristry competitions including Gold at the RHS Chelsea Show.
She has provided flowers for many members of the Royal Family and became a UK and International Floristry Judge to name a few.
The most remembered occasion was providing the Floral Tributes for the Service at San Carlos in the Falklands when the Families of Service personnel visited the year after the war.
