One service scrapped and others reduced in Stagecoach bus timetable changes

New bus timetables that are coming into effect on September 12 in Torbay are aimed to improve punctuality. One service is set to be scrapped while others will run less frequently.

There will also be changes across Stagecoach's services in Exeter, North Devon and Plymouth.

Service 12 (Newton Abbot – Brixham via Torquay and Paignton)

There are some changes to timings to improve reliability and punctuality. The frequency of buses Monday to Saturday will be adjusted to every 12 minutes between Newton Abbot and Brixham, while there will be no changes to the frequency of buses during the evening or on Sunday and Public Holidays.

Service 23 (Paignton – South Devon College)

To ensure a reliable and punctual service can be provided and to provide sufficient alighting and boarding time in Paignton Bus Station, the Monday to Saturday daytime frequency will be adjusted from every 30 minutes to every 40 minutes.

Service 53 (Kingsteignton – Torbay Hospital)

Minor timetable changes to improve reliability and punctuality. The majority of journeys will now serve Torbay Hospital before terminating at The Willows, providing a more suitable location for buses to wait and avoiding congestion at Torbay Hospital.

In Kingsteignton, the terminus is moved from Ware Cross to Vicarage Hill, where there is a bus stop layby for any time to be waited.

Service 122 (Devon Bay – Paignton)

Service 122 will end operating for the 2024 season after operation on Saturday 31 August 2024.

Service SD1 - South Devon College – Princess Yachts

The afternoon journey from South Devon College will depart 30 minutes later at 1630.

Service SD2 - South Devon College – NOSS

The afternoon journey from NOSS at 1530 will be withdrawn due low passenger demand.
