Police in Torbay have joined forces with the Tor Bay Harbour Authority to keep people safe at sea.
Officers will join members of the harbour authority in its patrol boat Oscar 4 over the summer season.
They will be carrying out regular patrols, promoting sea safety and helping with enforcement.
Harbour by-laws will be used along with police powers to help tackle any incidents of unsafe use of water craft and anti-social behaviour at sea or on the coastline.
The harbour authority will also be providing sea safety information and advice for people engaged in the various types of waterborne activities.
Police will be particularly looking out for any suspicious activity seen in the ports and working with the Border Force as part of Operation Kracken, a multi-agency initiative helping to create a safer environment for both residents and visitors to the region.
